Kids Acting Class FAQ

Tuition is $225 and includes a free t-shirt for every student to remember their experience at Stage Bound.

The acting class runs for a total of 8 weeks.

We do our very best to fill each course. However, if we do not receive more than 4 enrollments for a course, we will regrettably not be able to hold it. In such cases, all customers will receive a full refund of their tuition fees. This policy ensures that each course we run can provide a high-quality learning experience for every student.

The class is tailored for children typically aged between 6 and 10 years old.

Throughout the program, your child will learn various acting techniques, improvisation skills, character development, stage presence, and confidence-building exercises.

Yes! At the culmination of the 8 weeks, there will be a final showcase where students will have the opportunity to perform the plays that they helped to create during the course. Family and friends are encouraged to attend.

Our classes are led by experienced and trained acting instructors who specialize in working with children. Instructors have been finger printed, background checked, and hold current Maryland Advanced Professional Licenses for grades 1-6.

Comfortable clothing that allows for movement is recommended. Your child can also bring a water bottle and a snack to enjoy before class they would like.

No prior acting experience is necessary. The class is open to beginners as well as those with some acting background.

We keep our class sizes small to ensure personalized attention and maximum participation. Typically, there are around 10-15 students per class.

Each class session will involve a mix of warm-up exercises, acting games, skill-building activities, and scene work. Our goal is to keep the classes engaging and dynamic.

You can register your child online through our website or by contacting our office directly. Registration typically opens a few weeks before the start of each session

 

We don’t typically allow parents to observe regular class sessions to minimize distractions. Many opt to run some errands during the hour class or wait in their cars in the lighted parking lot. We do invite parents to attend the final showcase performance at the end of the program.

Yes, our instructors provide constructive feedback and guidance throughout the program to help students grow and improve their acting skills.

Acting classes help children develop confidence, creativity, communication skills, teamwork, and empathy. It’s a fun and enriching experience that can benefit them both on and off the stage.

Absolutely! Our acting classes are designed to be inclusive and welcoming to children of all personalities and backgrounds. In fact, acting can be a fantastic outlet for shy children to explore self-expression in a supportive environment. Our instructors are experienced in helping shy students feel comfortable and confident, and many shy children find that participating in acting classes helps them break out of their shells and develop valuable social skills.

No, all sales are final. However, we understand that life happens and schedules must change so if you withdraw your child at least 2 weeks before the start of their program you will be eligible for a credit that can be applied to another class within a year from when you originally purchased the course.

While our class is primarily designed for children aged 6-10, we are willing to welcome younger students. However, we recommend parents consider their child’s individual maturity level and ability to focus during class activities. If you believe your child is ready to participate in an acting class, we encourage you to reach out to us for further guidance.

Yes, signing a waiver is an important requirement for all students before they begin classes. The waiver helps ensure the safety and well-being of our students during their participation in the program.

Yes, children are welcome to bring and eat a snack before class begins. We understand that students may need a quick energy boost before engaging in acting activities. We kindly ask that any snacks brought to class are nut-free and allergy-friendly out of consideration for students with allergies.

We strive to maintain the schedule for the benefit of all students and instructors. If parents are late to pick up their child after class, a late fee of $1 per minute will be charged for every minute past the end of the class. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring a smooth and timely dismissal process.
